Step 1.) Pull hair into a high ponytail, on top of head. Fasten with an elastic. Smooth out any bumps.
Step 2.) Take a section of hair approximate. 1 inch in width, from the top of the pony tail. Curl with curling iron. (this is optional. Curling the piece helps form a solid loop better) Take the curled piece and form into a loop with fingers. Pin with hairpins, to head directly in front of the elastic.
Step 3.) Take next section of hair. You want to work from the top down and from left to right, doing the same as above. Pin curls on top of each other, slightly over lapping in a pyramid effect
Step 4.) As you work your way down the head, leave thin strands of hair out and put aside. These will be curled last to create the cascading effect.
Step 5.) When hair is all pinned, curls all the strands you left out.
Tips:
- Fasten pony tail with 2 elastics if you have thick hair. This will prevent your hair style from being weighed down.
- This style works best for longer hair (middle of back)
- Leave approximately. 12 thin strand of hair throughout the style to create the cascading effect.
- Don't worry about pins being visible. You can take them out when the style is finished and sprayed well with a hard holding spray.
- Over Lap the pinned curls in a pyramid effect. One on top of another, yet slightly to the side of the curl underneath. This will give the style height and depth.
- Dress it up with jeweled hair pins.
- When looping the hair, keep the loops all different sizes. Thick, thin etc. When pinning the loops, pin flat onto head to form a circle type appearance. You must take thick sections to give the hair height.
